Warm Up with the $20,080 Added New Year Freezeout
There’s never been a better way to wipe away the winter blues and with New Year’s Eve done and dusted for another year, this micro-limit buy-in event is the perfect remedy for one too many “Old Lang Syne’s”.
Mansion Poker kicks off 2008 in fine form adding a stellar $20,080 to the pot and giving players thousands more reasons to celebrate the New Year. Players looking for an excuse to squirrel away indoors for a few hours should indulge their passion for online Poker with the $20,080 Happy New Year Freezeout tournament.
The January 2 tournament costs just $1+0.10 to enter, so there’s nothing to lose, and at least a share of more than $20,080 to gain - with barely a dent to the bankroll.
Players receive a 3000 chip start bank, and with 15 minute blinds, it’s a nice slow structure that should suit the more advanced online poker enthusiast.
But with only a $1+0.10 investment at risk, new players should be equally quick to dig into their loose change for the buy-in. Any player with a real money account is eligible to enter, and for less than the cost of a cup of coffee, why miss out?
On January 2, blow away the cobwebs and the last of that lingering New Year’s Eve hangover in the $20,080 Happy New Year Freezeout tournament at Mansion Poker. Some red hot poker action will have players warmed up in no time, and ready to face 2008 with a winning smile.

European Commission ends US online gaming dispute
The European Commission has ended the long running online gaming dispute with the US by accepting a compensation package which would provide openings in other business sectors.
A Spokesperson from Brussels said it would still be pressing the US for a non-discriminatory policy towards online gambling despite the agreement being reached.
According to Reuters news agency, the Commission signed a bilateral agreement in Geneva which would provide EU service suppliers with new trade opportunities in the US postal and courier, research and development, storage and warehouse sectors.
Shares in online gaming firms dropped once this news was announced, which effectively has shut off the US market for the near future to the Big Online Gaming Operators.
