The New Look of LTDPoker.com

The New Look of LTDPoker.com

LTDPoker has decided to change an entire system and design to attract more online poker players and make navigation easier. Certainly the new concept of the portal is much friendlier for Internet users. More graphic and less of text should clarify how to get poker sponsorship or other online poker bonuses specially created for newly registered poker players.

Poker promotions are going to be visible only to those players who have reached the proper Level. So for newly registered players LTDPoker.com offers 4x25$ in no deposit bonus, where every other increment (apart from the 1st one) requires a certain number of points. For VIP Players with over 100LTDPoints LTDPoker offers Monthly Sponsorship, which should be easier to get. For the best ones there is up to 35% rake back (just to the certain poker rooms) offered as well as Monthly Leaderboard Prizes (paid up to 150$ a month to the best).

For the best players LTDPoker will arrange a special access to the VIP corner – another website with the specially created profiles. If you would like to be known in poker world and perhaps get a really good deal or go to Las Vegas WSOP you might be interested to get an access to those special poker news and directions. Also all your poker results (but not personal info) will be visible to the Internet users, so anyone interested in you as a poker player would be able to contact you to offer the best deal you can get. VIP Poker Players website would give you the chance to be even employed by poker site.

Another website LTD Poker School would be specially created for the beginners. To start playing poker with the idea what the game is about and building confidence in gaming online that would be the best place to find poker reviews, poker tips and guidelines. LTD Poker School will summarize an entire game on Poker School to give you the idea if you are just a fish or a real shark.

Warm Up with the $20,080 Added New Year Freezeout

There’s never been a better way to wipe away the winter blues and with New Year’s Eve done and dusted for another year, this micro-limit buy-in event is the perfect remedy for one too many “Old Lang Syne’s”.

Mansion Poker kicks off 2008 in fine form adding a stellar $20,080 to the pot and giving players thousands more reasons to celebrate the New Year. Players looking for an excuse to squirrel away indoors for a few hours should indulge their passion for online Poker with the $20,080 Happy New Year Freezeout tournament.

The January 2 tournament costs just $1+0.10 to enter, so there’s nothing to lose, and at least a share of more than $20,080 to gain - with barely a dent to the bankroll.
Players receive a 3000 chip start bank, and with 15 minute blinds, it’s a nice slow structure that should suit the more advanced online poker enthusiast.

But with only a $1+0.10 investment at risk, new players should be equally quick to dig into their loose change for the buy-in. Any player with a real money account is eligible to enter, and for less than the cost of a cup of coffee, why miss out?

On January 2, blow away the cobwebs and the last of that lingering New Year’s Eve hangover in the $20,080 Happy New Year Freezeout tournament at Mansion Poker. Some red hot poker action will have players warmed up in no time, and ready to face 2008 with a winning smile.
Make it a New Year’s resolution today, to play more and win more with Mansion Poker.

European Commission ends US online gaming dispute

The European Commission has ended the long running online gaming dispute with the US by accepting a compensation package which would provide openings in other business sectors.
A Spokesperson from Brussels said it would still be pressing the US for a non-discriminatory policy towards online gambling despite the agreement being reached.
According to Reuters news agency, the Commission signed a bilateral agreement in Geneva which would provide EU service suppliers with new trade opportunities in the US postal and courier, research and development, storage and warehouse sectors.

Shares in online gaming firms dropped once this news was announced, which effectively has shut off the US market for the near future to the Big Online Gaming Operators.
If you are a US Poker Player don't worry we have a number of poker sites available to you - Top US Poker Rooms. These include Pokerstars, Bodog Poker and Full Tilt Poker.

Poker Performance of the Year for Annette Obrestad

Betfair Poker sponsored player Annette Obrestad has become the youngest player ever to win the "Tournament Performance of the Year" award at the prestigious European Poker Awards in Paris.
Her achievement at the World Series of Poker Europe presented by Betfair.com was recognised as "phenomenal" by Poker Europa Chief Nic Szeremeta who presented the award. She defeated a field comprising of "one of the toughest fields in poker" to win more than $2m.
Annette beat fellow nominees and potential favourites for the award Carlos Mortensen and Bruno Fitoussi. Mortensen won $3.97m at the WPT in Las Vegas while Fitoussi took $1.2m in 2nd place in one of the most prestigious tournaments in the poker calendar, the WSOP HORSE event, also in Las Vegas.
Annette was nominated in two other categories including "Leading Lady" and "Rookie of the Year". She narrowly missed out to Katja Thater, who also won a WSOP bracelet this year, in the "Leading Lady" category.
Aged only 19, Annette Obrestad is a poker prodigy. Having made a name for herself playing online poker she shot to fame after winning the Main Event at the World Series of Poker Europe presented by Betfair.com in London's Leicester Square. As well as the coveted WSOP bracelet and the $2m prize Annette scooped up a five year sponsorship deal with Betfair.
Less than two months later Annette narrowly missed out on her first European Poker Tour win - having to settle for second place and a $429,181 payday in Dublin.
Annette's comments suggest there is more to come from the wonderkid: "I am so happy to win this award. I prefer this one than rookie of the year because I was up against such great players."
"I am still learning so much. There are still a lot of areas of my live game that can improve. My instincts, my ability to know what certain tells mean. But I am getting better all the time."
Betfair's Director of Poker Bruce Stubbs said: "Congratulations to Annette. She is a pleasure to work with and a special player. She is also possibly one of the most competitive people I have met. In fact I suspect she wanted to win all the awards."
Her experiences at the awards ceremony have been filmed for her blog and will soon be available on her Betfair Poker blog
Annette has her own special $212 freezeout tournaments on Betfair Poker at 19:30 UK time on Tuesdays and Fridays. Check out Betfair Poker for more information.

Rebuys Arrive At William Hill Poker

Rebuys Arrive At William Hill Poker
They may have taken some time coming but rebuys have finally arrived at William Hill. Simply look out for the word 'Rebuy' in a tournament name.

Also, unique to our William Hill, some of our extremely popular Headhunter tournaments will have rebuys for added excitement.

What is a Headhunter rebuy tournament?
When a player reaches zero chips during the rebuy period in a Headhunter rebuy tournament, they get the option to rebuy. Every time they rebuy, they are resurrected and a percentage of their rebuy fee goes into the prize pool, with the remaining amount going onto the players own head. The real fun begins after the first break, when the rebuys and add-ons are over but the players head values have swollen with their rebuy funds! Knock a player out after the rebuy period to collect some real cash!
