What's in a Screen Name?
The Most Popular names break down into a few categories.
Pro Names
Some players like to take the name of a famous professional player to hopefully intimidate their opponents. This generally has the opposite effect as lets face it if you are going to be good enough to play like a pro you would want your own identity! These player are generally small time fans of poker not serious big stakes players. Female Names Women are often perceived as inferior at the poker table. While it may be true that men win most of the big events, this is simply a case of percentages, take examples such as Annie Duke, Anette Obrestad and Liz Lieu. Male players who take on a feminine handle are likely to be banking on these perceptions; many players are less aggressive or get distracted against a woman.
Fish and Shark Names
The most famous example is probably Dave “DevilFish” Ulliot. Players advertising themselves as fish are employing similar tactics as those who take women’s names. Likewise Shark related names are most often from the same School as the “Pro Name” Players. If you are a shark you do not advertise the fact!
Pop Culture and Counter Culture References
It is a good rule of thumb to avoid political, sexual or potentially offensive references. It may seem funny at the time but if you are to go on and play regular poker you do not want to me perceived as a trashy and put off the sensitive fish. Fictional Characters and celebrity names are becoming more popular. The validity of this depends on the character. A James Bond ref, is probably a new player who will play “Movie Poker” hands, probably easy to draw into a few All ins.
However comedy or classic refs are generally names that have some meaning to the player stemming from their real life such as nicknames or profession. Jumbled NamesA mixture of words and numbers that seemingly have no reference are the smart choice for players who do not wish to present and perceived “Poker Personality” playing behavior.
Poker References
Poker Terminology: Some players use cool poker phrases as their screen name: RiverBeat, FloppedQuads, and JacksUp. Although a few of them are cheesy, the majority of them are some of the more creative names out there. The word “Stud” doesn’t always signify a stud player, but Omaha references are almost always on target. Mousing over an “Omaha” player’s icon to make sure they’re not actually from Omaha, Nebraska is a good idea. If they’re not, chances are they know their game.Clever people tend to be more intelligent. Watch out for these players. An opponent who intentionally misspells suited as “Sooted” might be someone to watch out for. These players are making fun of the fish that like to play a pot with any two suited cards regardless of rank. “But it was soooooooted” is a common way to poke fun at this tendency

How to play online poker. Poker Startegy
The cards are closely connected, because the value of your hand and your ability to win the pot depends on the value of their hand and how they will play it. It seems impossible to make a fair assessment of your opponents’ cards, but it becomes easier the more you play the game and especially the more you play the game with the same rivals. The observation will give clues as to whether their hand is strong or weak. With this knowledge, you are better prepared to play your own hand accordingly.
Some players still undervalue the importance of playing themselves against their opponents vs. playing their cards against their competitor’s cards. There are many advantages to this poker strategy, not least of which is protecting a good hand and playing a bad hand to a win. Alternately, the reverse is also true. After reading an opponent, you may choose to fold a hand that you would otherwise have played.
The point of real poker playing is to win more than you lose. Without doubt, you will occasionally lose but by having a good win to lose percentage you always come out ahead. When you alter your poker strategy to include the clues you get from other players, you lower your risk of losing big. This goes back to folding on a good hand. It may be hard to put your cards down but a good hand is only valuable when it wins ... if your assessment of another player leads you to believe they have a better hand. It’s better to fold than to pump someone else’s pot.
Eventually, a good poker strategy involves playing your cards, playing your opponents and betting accordingly. You can not master the game on cards alone.

Types of Opponents
A very important aspect of the game is to recognise your opponents' style. This is of utmost importance in No-Limit. When you sit down at a table you should use the first 15-20 minutes of play to categorise players into one of 4 types:
Tight / Passive: These players are merely waiting for the big hand and/or are inexperienced at No-Limit. They don't play many hands, and don't bet big usually. In fact, these players may actually have had success in Limit, as the Tight/Passive player can win there. They won't have much success in No-Limit, however, so raise and bluff them when the situation presents. If they do call a hand, though, it's a near certainty that they have a hand...so don't overdo it.
Loose / Passive: These players will make you the money (if they hang around long enough). They simply fish to the river with typically the 2nd or 3rd best hand hoping you're on the bluff. Make them pay when you have the killer hand and send them limping back to the limit tables.
Tight / Aggressive: Usually the correct strategy for No-Limit. Wait for the nice cards, and apply the screws once your hand hits. Make sure you start with a sufficient stack, so that you're not afraid to call. You may be easily read by the other good players, so mix up your tactics now and again to keep them off balance.
Loose / Aggressive: These players can be very dangerous to play against as they will be quite aggressive on many hands. They will steal pots with impunity from other, awed opponents. The more maniacal of this bunch, however, can be easily trapped and manipulated. When the cards turn in your favor, play him for all he's worth and pummel his stack. This player's lack of discipline and unrestrained bravado often creates a recipe for disaster.

Poker Strategy. Bankroll and money management
By learning the basic strategies and adopting an aggressive style you have a good chance of making a profit.
The reason is that, precisely as mentioned, most other players don't really play to win.
Many beginners underestimate the funds necessary to play poker for an extended period of time. The money you can afford to potentially lose and have earmarked to your poker game is called your poker "bankroll." Poker is inherently volatile and chances are that you will either win or lose quite a bit already by playing three to four hours - in particular if you are playing online, as the games are so fast-paced.
So, as a beginner, try to start out playing at very low limits to get a feel for the games and to minimize losses. The vast majority of new players starting out at poker grossly underestimate the bankroll needed to play at certain limits for a longer period of time. You may be an exception, but just in case you're not, it might be wise to take a look at the bankroll guides below.
Many experienced players make bankroll mistakes as well. A cardinal mistake is to treat your bankroll like a tournament buy-in. This means that as soon as you have played for a couple of weeks and are at break-even or are up a little bit at one limit, you then advance to a higher limit with your entire bankroll and so it continues. If you do this, you are almost guaranteed to eventually lose all your money.
The reasons are that you are putting too much pressure on your insufficient bankroll and are playing at higher levels where you not only have to adopt different playing styles to be profitable, but also are up against players who are probably significantly stronger than you.
In addition you face the risk of playing too passively at the higher limits as you can get " gun shy" when you cannot afford to lose and are inexperienced. Try to avoid these rarefied heights for now. Keep playing at reasonable limits for at least 200 hours of play during which you're either doing well or at least not losing too much. If you decide to try a higher limit do so for just a short period with a smaller test bankroll and get out if it is not working well for you. You are most likely playing poker for recreational purposes - make sure you give yourself the chance to enjoy yourself for more than a month or two!
Luckily for the few professional players out there, most players play for fun. Try to enjoy yourself as much as possible at as low limits as possible.

Rakeback in Poker and Poker Strategy
LTDPoints are generated from this rake. 10 USD = up to 5 LTD points.
If the player already has received the 1st bonus he would have to clear it out to get a particular number of LTD Points and another poker bonus.
Place your focus on squeezing the maximum amount of profit out of the monsters you get, but do not build your strategy solely around them.Slow-playing is on of the most popular ways to hammer a monster home. People figure, they need to show as much weakness as possible, and to allow others to stuff the pot for them in order not to raise any suspicion. Certainly, under certain circumstances, slow-playing is indeed a viable option.
The right course of action is dependant on a set of other factors. While slow-playing can be great at a given table under the given circumstances, it can be disastrous at a different table under different circumstances.Things you have to consider are: the nature of the opposition. Are you going up against at least one maniac who raises and re-raises on every hand, and keeps on dominating? Are you up against a bunch of solid tight players?
Another fundamental principle of playing monster you can find here.
